Power
of Relationship You
shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment and the
second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as
yourself.” (Matthew
22:37-39)

The New Antioch
Church ministry takes seriously the command of
Christ in Matthew 22:37-39. It is the command to
take relationship seriously on three specific
levels: Relationship with God,
self and others.
Jesus does not differentiate between the love we
are to share with God and the love that we share
with our fellow man. In fact, it is within this
very message of the Christ that we see the
interdependency of the three relationships, where
one does not and cannot successfully exist is
isolation of the other two.
Our
relationship-based vision of the New Antioch
Church ministry is a special commission by God to
which we eagerly respond. Church worship,
teaching, outreach and all other ministry services
espouse relationship in the life of the saved soul
as well as the soul yet to be saved, with a
specific aim of evangelizing the latter.

The
GOD
Relationship
|
|
Value of
the GOD Relationship for Saved Soul:
We
desire that all who are in Christ
will experience an intimate, personal
relationship with God. We minister to
encourage continued cultivation of
personal relationship between the saved
soul and God through
worship,
bible study, prayer,
fasting
and giving |
|
Our
Desire for the God Relationship for Unsaved Souls:
We
desire also that all who are yet to be
saved will experience an intimate,
personal relationship with God. We
minister in the hopes that such persons
will establish a personal relationship
with God by
accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their
Personal Savior. This is accomplished
through the effective
witnessing to the unsaved soul in order
that he or she will receive God's free
gift of salvation.
|
|
The
SELF
Relationship
|
|
Value
of the SELF Relationship for the Saved Soul:
We
desire that all who are in Christ
will experience
healthy internal relationships within
their personal selves. We
minister to encourage
the continuous cultivation of the
“self” relationship within the saved
soul by
offering assistance and support
of his or her:
-
Understanding
of God's purpose (personal and
corporate)
-
Application
of God's Word to daily life
experiences
-
Exercise
of spiritual gifts
-
Exertion
of power over demonic attack
-
Practice
of forgiveness
-
Exercise
of faith
-
Demonstration
of the love of God
|
| Our
Desire for the SELF Relationship for Unsaved Souls:
We
desire also that all who are yet to
be saved will
experience the "self"
relationship, which is best accomplished through personal
relationship with God. We
minister to encourage the
beginning of the “self” relationship
within all unsaved souls by
effective witnessing that they will
first enter into personal relationship
with God
through salvation, then learn to relate
to themselves. The self relationship
involves revelation of God's purpose and will for
their lives.

|
The
OTHERS
Relationship
|
|
Value
of the OTHERS Relationship for the Saved Soul:
We
desire that all who are in Christ will
be
unified in and through the faith. We
minister to encourage
the continuous cultivation of
relationship between all saved souls
through:
|
|
|
|
Our
Desire for Unsaved Souls:
Our
desire also is that all who are yet
to be saved will be
joined to the Body of Christ through
salvation. We pursue and
establish relationship with unsaved
souls in active representation of
Jesus Christ that is:
-
Without
compromise of the Word of God
-
Without
misrepresentation of the household
of faith
-
Evangelistic
by way of community
involvement, social justice and
outreach
